First person arm attachments

First person arm attachments

I've tried to find the arms in the character editor but nothing will work. Any suggestions?

If you mean the character file location for the arms, it's:
Objects/Weapons/Arms_Global/arms_nanosuit_**.chr

The ** being either us or asian.

When I add an attachmnt it doesn't show on the arms ingame.

^in all my levels always shown, maybe problem with its position? In that folder you will find some about 6 models of arms - try any other. It must work good! Or you mean charAttachHelper to that arms model?

If I'm understanding you correctly:
It wouldn't, as you can't save attachment information directly to a .chr file, instead having to save it as a .cdf with the game still loading the unmodified .chr file. If you save it as a .cdf with your attachments added, next step would be to open player.lua (Scripts/Entities/actor) and change the fpItemHandsModel parameter from chr to cdf.

If that's not what you mean please elaborate on what you're trying to do. :)

^Callofduty511 - youve made me upset. I thought he makes simply file of chanels using character editor or trying to make animated arms at least.:]

ALso ^ JasperHope, if you need arms (animated!!!) i may give a FG to use anim object as if that were real players' arms instead of players' (first person) real arms. But any way i cant understand what your idea is about :)

Andreyyou musn't have read my posts. I want to add an attatchment to the first person arms - god knows where you got animating them from ;P, thanks for trying anyway :).

And I think that might work, callofduty, thanks :).

I'm surprised nobody has ever tried this before... I guess it could be possible to just export the arm model with the attatchment from 3ds and switch between models ( if that's possible ).

^LOL :] I saw words "character editor" and forgot about everything around. Sometimes it happens with me.
