Thanks for the nice tutorial.

Its funny. When I tried to redo your tutorial and then afterwards load a new level without restarting the editor, I have this UI screen right in front of me. :cheesy:

I ran into some problems when doing the other handheld tutorial over here:

http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=291&t=85733

I have some errors there that Cryengine can't load a movie correctly. Currently I am trying to use the gfxexporter to fix this problem.

In the docs it says that the gfxexport is need in order that flash movies are recognized in Cryengine. So I am a bit confusded why your tutorial worked even withouth gfxexporter and the other one doesn't.

Cryengine accept ".swf" format, but gfx is better for final game, because its compressed.

^^
When I convert the swf file to gfx format, then I have the UI also on the screen and not only on the entity anymore. Did you overcome this problem?

Edit: Ah I guess with no correct FG setup, the Image lands on the screen automatically?

I am on 3.6.3 .

The FG setup was the same from the other tutorial above:

http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=291&t=85733

At around the 28th min of the 4th video you see his FG setup.

He didn't use any of the UI Function FG nodes, as they didn't exist at the time of his tutorial. When I convert swf to gfx, the whole swf movie is ust in my face. However I now try to make a new approach with the UI Function node of the swf file.

You also can read my last post there on my desperation, if you have nothing better to do :D.

Edit: Ok I think I don't have the problem anymore with the gfx in my face :). I didn't understand something about when to use display config Flownode and when not. I think this node was the reason for it, but I am not sure.
