hey
i'm working on some Assets for the CE3 SDK free2use

the only problem that i have, they dont have a texure on it
maybe someone can add good textures

i might create some differnt versions of some models

We need a categorized file repository soon.
A nice growing library of free to use assets will save a lot of people a lot of time. And yes obviously a custom game should have custom assets, but if there is some existing grass or trees that fit your world why not.

I really like the idea behind the above models. They are simple and generic and could be textured to fit right with a wide variety of games. Good work.

This is good to see, :) Just watch your Polycount, As it can add up very fast when you star populating your scene with these types of objects.

If you need textures you can go to CGtextures, I have a texturing for CE3 tutorial that I am going to be posting multiple additional videos for.

Hope that helps, I know its a 3dsmax oriented tut, but the Photoshop part should help you in the same way.

Looks nice Hyper but a lot to highpoly, for example your pipes
I think you shouldn't make zylinders with 24 polygons, it would be better if there where between 6 or 8 for small ones and between 12 and 16 for bigger ones

but i try to learn XSI or blender to create HP models with UV map with a higher quality

what should i do?

sell every one of them for 0.99$ or more?
i think modells which are made witch free software have to be free

example: nobody is allowed to sell a Modell created with blender

Unless you own a licence to the software whatever it is, its Illegal to sell anything you make out of it. Regardless of software.. Thats a basic Copyright coverage.

Btw, did you look at that tutorial I linked to you Hyper.aN#? I really was trying to help, I usually never link tuts. hehe

IP made with software having GPL or other free software license can be sold/rented/shot to space :rolleyes:
For commercial software there of course need to be a license.

Models made with Blender can be sold. But if you sell IP made with free software, would be decent to make a donation or buy something from connected store :happy:

You sure about that there man, I know a group of students here at school that were given a C&C from the makers of blender for selling models made purely in blender.

I think youve got yourself a little mixed up.

Would be nice to know more about the case you are referring themodman101, because according to information in Blender site selling is allowed.
