The solid answer is that Windows 8 is not currently in our supported specs bracket. That doesn't necessarily mean it won't work, but QA won't take place using unsupported systems.

When it's finished. In the meantime, Windows 8 is not officially supported by the FreeSDK.

But Blue is actually only Windows 8.1, MS will now likely pursue the same policy as Apple. I think it's better to bring the individual to timely renewal in the years instead of waiting of a new OS every 3 years.

@Maximum-Dev
I can actually work quite well with the editor in Windows 8, although there are a few bugs, but these do not affect so much my work.

I am unable to get Direct X 11 mode to work, this is very frustrating, it works just great in 3.4
Why not in 3.4.3?

Becouse as said before Windows 8 is not officially supported by the FreeSDK. Nothing is guaranteed to work until support has been added.

Obviously. But if I read this correctly, other people are getting it to work. I just want a definitive answer, can anyone get DX 11 to function on Windows 8? If so then the issue is on my end. It is also 7 AM and I didn't sleep for two nights (including tonight) so sorry if I misread this thread.
