I presume there are other settings needed as well because just that one doesn't do it for the Rift. It appears it's only rendering half of the screen width for each eye instead of the full width for each one.

Speaking of 3d support... I am pretty sure dual rendering still does not work.

Which makes me wonde if the rift support just uses the stereoreprojection

Can any Oculus Rift users try the following for me please!

Code: Select all
sys_CurrentHMDType  = 1
sys_hmd_reset_sensor
r_StereoOutput = 7 (enables VR headset)

paste into system.cfg and restart the editor.

The result I got was no stereo rendering from the Oculus, HOWEVER, the head tracking is working :)

EDIT: I also notic in the Display settings in the rollup bar, there is a Stereo Settings option... only problem is it's side to side, there's no warping for the side to side :/

I tried all of that last night (hence my comment in the other thread) and nothing seemed to work right. I tried all combinations of r_StereoOutput and setting r_stereoMode to 1 and adjusting r_stereoDevice from the low values to the 100 auto-detect value. None of the combinations worked correctly.

I GOT IT TO WORK!!!.... only thing i need is how to change the resolution to 1280x800 (it needs that resolution for some reason instead of the 720 :/) and how to change the FOV to 110.

EDIT: i'm also seeing double blur :/... im guessing it's gotta deal with the eye offset maybe too

Yes, but the display is what I can't get to work. It's only rendering the left half of the screen for each eye.
