Re: Cryengine to export to play in i pod?

No, the CryENGINE3 does not currently support mobile platforms. The Free SDK supports Windows only whilst commercial licensing is available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

What if... you... put it on onlive? Or used the same sort of cloud gaming technique they use, you would be able to play it on your iOS device/other devices.

I believe CryEngine can't be used in mobile devices. Probably because a mobile device will never be able to handle it. By cloud gaming do you refer to the use of a render farm? Those are technical questions that I cannot answer.

Obviously the engine itself is streamable, whether this translates into a playable iOS experience is a different question, given it restricts you to high-quality WiFi networks.

The dont mention anything about CryEngine, so its probally a seperate engine but im just speculating..

So no we dont have any idea when or if it will be made available to us and as we dont even have licensing pinned down for CryEngine yet we also have no idea how much it will cost hehe :)

At the moment if you want to develop on android or iOS your best bet is to pick up unity before the 8th as they are giving away the mobile development stuff so hurry up :)
Some 3D Models I have done.

I already bought Unity for $0 :)

I think Fibble is created by using CryEngine (mobile version) without Crysis2 glossy shader..
I'm interested because IMHO CryEngine3 is the best game engine on the planet right now :cheesy:

There's a CE3 logo on the Fibble site.

But, on the other hand, Crytek said in this video that they "don't have a name" for the engine yet.

I don't think it would ever happen.

Android used OpenGL ELS 2 and Cry Engine 3 Directx 11.
