Wtf, support them! Do you think they will come in-game if people say stuff like that? Try to look 2-3 news-topic down and look at the in-game-textured pistole that works perfect!!

Why don't you shut the **** up if you have nothing positive or at least something we can use, to say!

-------
Back-on topic: I think they look exstreamly well made (high poly) and I hope to see some texture on them soon ;)
And can I ask if they will be used for a mod or at free use?

He means you probably have to get permission from Microsoft or bungie for using their copyrighted weapons is my guess.

actually yes, bungie is very strict on these things, I suggest not even trying to make this a downloadable mod or even single weapon content simply because everyone that has ever tried a Halo mod or anything to do with halo has received a cease and desist order (or else legal action) from M$, Bf2 mods got the C&D order, source mods got it too, pretty much anything to do with halo is a no no

why not just play halo 3? lol

Bungie is not owned by Microsoft anymore. However Microsoft owns the Halo Franchise, so that would be your contact.

Exactly. I don't understand why people make straight up copies - like Halo or Star Wars or Jurassic Park or Oblivion or whatever - it's not like they're gonna get permission anyhow...plus is it really that hard to make something original?

If you didn't directly use their game assets, you just attempted to replicate Halo designs, really they shouldn't have a problem, otherwise its like saying, now a particular musician has written and played this song, no one else is allowed to, even if they work out how to do it themselves.
My System Specs:
-Core2Duo E6300 @1.86 (OC'ed to about 1.99)
-3Gig Corsair XMS2 RAM 800MHz (4-4-4-12)
-Sparkle Passively Cooled 9800GT
-Windows XP SP3
Yay, Crysis runs on High :D

change the model at least 51% and they will not be able to say anything to you, and yeah we should be coming up with original stuff anyways, but all that aside..... very good models dude, the sniper rifle is my fav, i would love to use it

*facepalm*
I don't know where this "everyone that has ever tried a Halo mod or anything to do with halo has received a cease and desist order" rubbish came from. Only one mod, as far as I know, recieved that, and that was the Halo mod for Generals - simply because it would have taken too much of the spotlight away from the upcoming Halo Wars.

As long as you do not use their actual in-game assets, or create model replicas without due reference to the originals then you'll be fine.

Back on topic, those models are awesome and accurate. Hope to see them in use!

EDIT: In my usual jerkoff-ery, I have infact spouted complete nonsense. What I should be saying is that if you use even the idea of something that is copyrighted, it is illegal, unless you have permission to use it. So, unless someone gets permission to make a Halo mod, those models won't get used legally. Sigh.

Creative commons says if you recreate it yourself, you can use it as you see fit. Can't very well recreate the Halo name though so that is the sketchy part, just call it something else. Perhaps Halo-inspired guns is more permissible.

Weapons, such as rifles or pistols, aren't really _that_ difficult to export and setup.

Regardless, halo sucks, as does unoriginality, and opinionated noobs.

Nice models though =)
