Anyway, I like the addition of mushrooms on the trees. And for height variation, can't you just adjust that in the Sandbox Editor in the plant settings?
No cookie for you!
... Okay you can have one, but only because yes, you can adjust sizes in the editor.

HD Gameplay Video:
So, youtube totally destroys my capture frames video. Go figure. Seems the HD didn't work so well, at least not on my PC.
If you can't get it to work in HD either, then here's the uploaded AVI file (H.624 Codec.):http://teamyo.org/xzero/files/CaptureHD.avi
Sorry, no sound on capture ones. You'll have to forgive me for the HD video's jumpy turns. The game on my end was running around 5 FPS because of capture frames, and my mouse sensitivity wasn't lowered. I'll try to make it as smooth as possible next time.
HD video taken with no sprites, so extra detail is present. Hey, if the video's going to be at 30fps anyway, why not? Wasn't a huge difference anyway.
There are still some vegetation placement issues - I know lol. I still haven't changed the tree models either. Mostly positioning and the addition of bushes.
Yeah, lots of shots, hope you enjoy them. You can request any of those for desktop, or even parts of the videos. The DOF doesn't seem to be active, which is stupid, but I hope I'm just wrong.
And finally, the highlight of the thread:
*whistles* That's hot.
PS: The framerate has significantly dropped, unfortunately. However, that may be because I have absolutely no LODs whatsoever to speak of. When I get the LODs in, it'll probably be much smoother. And even then, with my usual setup (all very high, shadows and objects on medium) it runs between 28 - 38 FPS. Not bad, something around the regular Crysis maps, perhaps just a tad lower, until I add lods anyway.
I also improved the tree normal maps so that they look higher res. And, if I add more height variation to the ground plants, well... well I can't since they're already pretty varied. Bear in mind I'm still going to add more types of plants, so that may be the solution. Also, already got my head into the rock color. It won't be long before it matches
On the note about Pawels models. They're nice dude, but they don't fit what I'm trying to do: A certain type of forest made up of my own models and such.
