Giving Spawned Objects Physics

Postby Steel » 27.10.2007, 04:49

Anyone have any idea how to take a spawned object, put it in the air, and let it just fall when you run it? Me and some friends have been trying, but no luck. Help? (Yes...we lifted the destroyer above the north korean huts... >_>. Didn't work with jeeps either though.)

You have to spawn a physical "entity" rather than a geom object. :)

Yeah it has to be an entity...it is however fun to stack 10+ trucks on top of each other and run it and let them fall ;)

Make sure you save it once to generate all the needed xml files and then reload into your map. you should only have to save it once before it start working properly.

SOmetimes i find it helps if you export to engine, save, exit the editor and open it again and then try.
