Silent.'s Realistic Forest *Big Update Forest Scenes*

Postby Silent. » 23.06.2010, 20:22

Hey everyone. I've been wanting to do this for a while, and recently I've been able too. This is a Realistic Forest mod that I will release to Crymod upon completion. So far I've created about 8 unique foliage assets. I know some of you will criticize that it's a little to green ect...I know, that's the style I'm going for. I hope you enjoy it :)

I like the variation of green shades. It feels very fresh to me.

Nice Silent., but the only thing I don't like is the fern on the left in this picture:

It has those black outlines around those leaves, you should clean that up, and texture seems kinda too dull to fit in with the rest. Really nice work on those dead ground leaves though keep up the good work mate ;).

Not a bad start. :)

My advice would be to begin to start studying foliage and vegetation. Go out and study how certain plants grow, and take your own reference photos.

Currently, most of your plants aren't really representative of any that actually exist.

Thankyou all very much for your feedback! :)

Ultimarage, thanks for the tips :) I'll be sure to do that

I would like to make this to most realistic forest possible on the cryengine 2. I'm modelling as a personal project and for someone else, so it might take a bit of time. An update should be soon :)
