1841 Six-pounder Field Cannon

Postby Eternal-Dreamer » 05.12.2010, 21:41

Hi, guys!

UPDATED, 10/23/2011:

It's been a while since I've updated this thread, and in that short amount of time some things have changed. :) The model is still an 1841 six-pounder, smooth-bore field cannon. The tool used to build this replica model was 3D Studio Max. All screens were taken in the CryENGINE3 using Geo Piskas's Lightbox CE3.

NOTE: This model was made for the up-and-coming mod, Four Hours to Midnight

Screens:

Nice. would work great at attacking an old fort or something :P
make the actual cannon alot darker, not green.

Thanks!

Yes, the real cannon is more of a jade green, and less of a lime green. I'll have to change that.

Thanks, guys!

There will be some rust on it, for sure. But the actual cannon model was manufactured from 1841, through the American Civil War. I think it's just the design that was made in 1841. The model I'm making is circa 1863.

Here's a small update of the cannon progress! Along with the original smooth-bore barrel I've built a Parrot barrel. This here will tell you everything you wish to know about field artillery from the American Civil War.

I've also added the small clips that hold the wheels in place, and holders for the cannons cleaning and reloading equipment. Texturing is underway at the moment, I will be uploading screens of that soon.

Please tell me what you think! :))

This is for a different mod. The mod I announced I'm reevaluating, at the moment. :)
