Oh and BTW will you be releasing this for the Cry engine 3 indie?

I'll be using it for Rayman 1.5. :)

Also my beta download is up. Test it out!:

FIXING, PLEASE WAIT.

Drop the contents of the ZIP file into your Gamecrysis2 folder. Then go to modify -> load object(s) and open gamecrysis2/F-35/F-35.grp.

There's something you might want to take into account - currently, the rockets explode but the explosions don't do anything. If I had the help of some sort of particle collision detector flowgraph node *HINT HINT* then I'd be able to do it.

I get the attached error report when trying to load the object. F-35 folder and z_F35.pak are in gamecrysis2 folder.

Here we go, I made a new, working version (I think). :)) I tested it this time and it worked for me on a different computer. Here, tell me your thoughts. Follow the instructions in the previous post.

Just watched the video, impressive work.
I was immediately reminded of "Afterburner" the old arcade game which ate a lot of my coins a long time ago.

Ah memories ;)

maybe instead of using input:key you should use a Input:simulatePlayerInput, like that you will allow players to use their own keys.
And allow with somes camera:camera tweak to rotate the camera with the mouse around the plane, since you can check the rotatepitch and rotateyawn ( i didnt test, but i suppose its the mouse movement )

Or create a little menu to config the keys, with gametokens its pretty easy to do.

If you use a lot Interpol nodes you can use interpol smooth node for a more accurate control, and best thing, it allow to tweak the time even if the node didnt finish his work. For that you will have ( for a interpol smoothfloat ) use a set number for each value since there isnt any "start" input.

But, its a very nice node.

And very nice FG !

Hey Ray, so now after I extracted the files into my F-35 folder from the .pak - when I attempt to load the object, it works! I can even get in the plane and fly it around.. the only problem is, for whatever reason the camera doesn't follow the jet around once it starts moving, haha. So I'm stuck piloting the plane back from it's initial start point, replete with viewshake effects, etc. Any ideas?

This is what i love, pushing the limits using simple FG, it's simply awesome, and keep doing it.

One thing that i would've done different, i would've used physics:actionimpulse nodes, or whatever they are called in sb3(i don't have c2 yet :3 ). Doing this in movement nodes is using like square wheels on a car, it might work well if you try really really hard, but round wheels are easier and work better.
Physics nodes would result in more realistic simulation and more options, like building in a realistic afterburner and some other things.

Also, if you have the time to wait two weeks, i could probably fix up the missiles for you to act realistically(and have actual explosions), I can't do anything right now because i'm on vacation in italy on a 1.6Ghz single core.
I could probably set up a realistic loadout for the complete plane if you want.

awesome. Love it, especially the whole thing with these homing missiles. Very nice.

I have done the exact same thing on CryEngine 2 once, the only difference being that I also made a race track (circles you had to fly through and a timer)
Maybe an idea for you? :D
