"Nearest Cube-Map probe for alpha blended" should work on every level that uses Environment Probe objects.
You have to set up a default though, which can be any cubemap image file, and tick "Environment Map" tickbox in the material generation properties (In SB3 Material Editor). Then you can tweak the reflection's power, bias, etc.

One thing though, when I set it to Nearest cube map... it loses reflection... Should I leave it as Cube map only?

If you're not using EnvironmentProbes in your map with generated cubemaps it does that. All the vanilla maps in the game have EnvironmentProbes, afaik, so they should look fine in them.

Oh, I see :D Yeah, I tested on my custom map without probes for it... Thx man! You saved me, material looks awesome now. Also I've noticed that it looks even better if I change "TexGenType" to "World Environment map".

From the looks of the RL weapon the barrel is chrome lined, so it is a dark metallic grey. You can go with stainless steel barrel if you get the weapon mod from a civilian as stainless steel barrels are advertised as being more accurate than their chrome lined counterparts but do not have the long life as their chrome lined counterparts.
I will admit the model and textures belong in Crysis 2.


It annoys me a bit that bullpups are becoming the modern rifle and yet many futuristic renditions tend to omit the bullpup configuration when it comes to gas propelled weapons.

That's a sweet looking toy. You modelled it well. Can you give us some more shots with the finished reflective material?

Yeah, sure, I'll probably post the update later today.

The only thing which is bothering me regarding modeling is that I went crazy with chamfering the edges :cheesy: which resulted in 8k polys for base model... I could pull off nearly the same look with at least 1.5-2k polys less... Maybe I'll refine it in the future... It's more a thing of making it optimized.

Is the picatinny rail supposed to be like that, though? It looks a little off.

Mine has less segments though, did a little mistake with scaling (less length segments than the original), but I thought it would be fine anyways.

Ah, I think yours it a little too thin near the end, where it reaches out of the base area.

Textures done! There are few versions (black, dark-green, desert, desert camo...) but woodland camo is my favorite, so here it is:
