Master Sword Asset (TLoZ) + Sacred Grove Map

I always wanted to see, how one Zelda game would look like with awesome graphics. Well, I can't develope a whole Zelda with the CryEngine, but I CAN at least import an asset from Zelda to the CE3.

Here is it, the Master Sword:

It's WIP, though, and I plan to give the asset out, as soon as I made a remake of the Sacred Woods, with this sword in it.

Is the pedestal supposed to be so.. soo.. bland? or clean is a better word.

looking good though, I think you should Chamfer the edges of your geometry on the Pedestal as a whole.. stay away from 90 Degree angles if possible as they tend to make it look kind of CG more than it should.

Keep up on this, it would be pretty cool easter egg to have in a game or something.

Ah. One of my favorite games!

It's looking a little bit like ordinary backyard forest at the moment.

Maybe it's my impression from the Link to the Past (snes), but I imagine the forest needs to look much more mystical with thick fog, very dense bushes and trees where lights rarely shine through, and it should look . . . moist? With moss and mushrooms. And lots of big, old logs lying around with moss and lichens. Only around the sword that lights should actually shine through.

Does the SDK have moss/lichens/mushrooms?

Yes, the pedestal isn't finished, I just made a bare Model to have a place for the sword to be, then I focused on improving the model of the sword. And yes, I'm trying to recreate the Sacred Grove from A link to the past, though I want to keep it a bit more serious, dark and so on.

And, right in time, I'm done with the improvements. Lokeeeh here:

Note: I improved it very much if I look at the old model now, it's far more detailed and looks more like the original.

Very nice looking.. The Asset pack im speaking of is my Alpine pack in this section of the forums.. its got mushrooms and ground plants.. although I think your gonna need some very large Tree's and vines.

Thanks to themodman101's Alpine Pack, I was able to improve the Map and the showcase. :cheesy:

I am hoping to find a way to unwrap the UV Mapping in Sketchup (or any other way to do so), so I can texture the sword and the pedestal very detailed, because now, I used plain, raw textures (with bumpmaps and speculars on them (wich looks really odd), but it should be enough for now.

If you like I can unwrap your models for you, the sword might be a tad difficult. But I need practice. PM me if your inturested. It might have to wait till i get back.

In wich format shall I give them to you? COLLADA .dae or something else.
Oh, and as for the sword, that's not as important like the pedestal, because you don't really notice the lack of proper texture on the sword, but on the pedestal, you do.
