As we look at our history, you can find the truth hidden in the daylight. We could have predicted this decades ago, some did, but we didn't listen. They started something, something revolutionary. Yup yup, thats what i meant by "beautiful"

Big issue though. I can only get about 15:FPS (I have a GTX570)..... Its because the map is so huge. We just got to hide or delete unimportant areas.

But here the good news... theres a way to make certain areas disappear when player is not looking at them. Its a good optimization technique. Bad news is I dont know how to do it yet.

Okay sounds great. Also your definitely right the open world level was hitting 7 million polygons at some points, which is way too high considering crysis 2 levels didn't even hit a million. So in its current state only a GTX 590 can run it haha

if you have somes DP / polycount problem, i suggest you to use occluder as much as you can. Since you have plane / vertical occluder, and since its a city with huge building you will easyly be able to drasticly increase the performance.
+Solid who have the "good occluder" option.

The default Crytek SP level are just very baddly optimized because of the poor occluder usage.
+ they didnt even model their building with a occulder proxy like in Crysis1 ( who just suck for performance )

And if you use correctly organize your level with the layer and correctly use the "layerswitch" + tweak building lods.. you will get huge performance boost.

because, from what i see from your screens, its only building without any detail / decals / particle / geomEntity / light... etc etc. So no reason to get to bad performance.

Just as exemple :

this part show the parking + hotel ( from the Alien Vessel small MP map ) with occluder rework. ( and there is plenty of decal / entity / lights.. etc )
