Okay as Ceylonfarmer said in a previous topic
"1.Model a weapon through 3dsmax/maya.
2.Make animations for the weapon through 3dsmax/maya.
3.Export the weapon and animations using the cryenigne 3 exporter.
4.Make a xml file for your weapon."
Once you have the model and animations done in either 3dsmax or Maya, follow the documentation at the following link to ready and setup the weapon for export http://freesdk.crydev.net/display/SDKDOC3/Weapons

, while going through those; there is a reference XML file that you can quickly pick up off of that is located in CryENGINE_PC_v3_4_0_3696_freeSDK/Game/Scripts/Entities/Items/Weapons/. Now keep in mind that the "scripts/" folder need to be unzipped with Winrar or Winzip from the "scripts.pak" located in"CryENGINE_PC_v3_4_0_3696_freeSDK/Game/". That should help a bit.
