[Download] Sponza SVOGI

Postby Synce » 03.08.2015, 14:32

Hello,
I made a Sponza demo to showcase the SVOTI and volumetric fog feature of the CryEngine.

The purpose of this small demo is to show the SVOTI feature of the CRYENGINE. Keep in mind that it is an early version of the system.
SVOTI means Sparse Voxel Octree Total Illumination. This system can achieve high quality global illumination in real time. Nothing is baked. In this demo you can change the time of day, and look how the light reacts.
No Screen Space Reflection (SSR) is used, the reflections are from the SVOTI system.

Download Sponza demo

The current version of the demo is 0.8.0 and use the 3.8.4 version of the CryEngine.

How to use:
-Extract the .rar
-Go into the Bin64 folder and launch Sponza.exe
-Enjoy the visit
-Press TAB for more options
If it is the first time you use Cryengine, make sure you installed the redistributable package and DirectX : http://docs.cryengine.com/display/SDKDO ... +CRYENGINE

Controls:
[1] GI is disabled
[2] Full GI mode, 2 bounces, diffuse and specular.
[3] Activate/Desactivate the volumetric fog
[4] Start/Stop the Light demo
[9] Start/Stop the Emissive demo

[5] Ultra quality mode (default)
[6] High quality mode
[7] Medium quality mode
[8] Low quality mode

[Right clic] and [Left clic] to change the time of day
[Middle clic] Reset the time of day to 11.30
[E] Lighting mode (replace albedo with white)
[TAB] Hide/Unhide options

This archive contains:

- an executable demo
-.dds textures
-.cgf files
-.mtl materials
-.cry level
- information.txt

The demo now features a light demo, showing dynamic GI with colored lights. During this mode, you can still see the result with and without the GI, and activate/desactivate the volumetric fog.

You can also find many useful information in the Flowgraph. How to use simple gametokens for example, and basic logic actions.

Thanks for the work!

I really hope someone from Crytek can rebuilt Sponza under PBR workflow with higher resolution texture.

Thanks guys :)
Yeah i'm really waiting the 3.8.3 too.
I think it's because the range of the rays is huge.
An executable is on its way, I'll try to optimize it as much as possible.

Hey guys, I made it an executable demo. The .cry is still included, you can check out what the settings are, and check the flowgraph logic. And of course try de demo and give me some feedback ;) Enjoy!

Hey guys, the 0.5 version of the demo is up!
It uses the 3.8.3.

The demo now features a point light demo, showing dynamic GI with colored lights. During this mode, you can still see the result with and without the GI, and activate/desactivate the volumetric fog.

You can also find many useful information in the Flowgraph. How to use simple gametokens for example, and basic logic actions.
