how to get the marketplace assets into the game for use

Postby joekickass23 » 17.03.2016, 05:34

So I've gone to the market place and downloaded all the free stuff that was there. it's on the launcher and it says installed, but it doesn't show up in the editor. I could just drag all the files into the asset folder, but the file structure has changed a bit so I'm confused on how to do that. So is there a simpler way to get the assets into my project?

I've loaded the 'Main' layer in that came with the sample project (https://www.cryengine.com/marketplace/p ... le-project) but that's about as far as I got in terms of viewing the levels in it, I'm pretty lost (I come from using Unreal)

Hi Collin,
i think there might need a tutorial on basic porting from old engine to this new on by using new introduced project management system, like how to setup project folder structure, how to link project to launcher by using project.cfg,etc.
this may solve a lot of basic confusion on porting old project to new engine. there goes a lot of topics on asking help for porting. :)
