TimeSplitters Rewind is looking for dedicated developers!

Postby TSR-MHubicka » 09.05.2014, 18:28

Happy Friday CryDev Community!

I am Michael Hubicka, Project Manager of TimeSplitters Rewind and I happy to announce we are looking for some dedicated developers to join us! We are a group of developers in the community that Crytek gave explicit permission to develop a TimeSplitters game. We have taken it upon ourselves to remake the entire franchise from the ground up using the power of CryENGINE 3.

We are currently focusing on the multiplayer aspect of the original franchise with plans to work on the single player content much later down the road. Unfortunately, we are not a funded project and we are unable to offer any type of compensation. I know it is a lot to ask someone to join us on a very ambitious project without offering any compensation in return. What we can offer you though is quite a bit more significant.

As we are all full time developers for various companies in the industry we enjoy promoting developers in our workplace. We can't guarantee a position at where we work but we can guarantee that we will put in our recommendations in hopes that you will get your foot in the door to the AAA industry. TimeSplitters Rewind is a supported project by Crytek GmbH and Crytek UK. This means we have their approval to work on the franchise and we will not receive a C&D that will end development. We have received massive amounts of attention from various gaming news outlets such as IGN, Kotaku, GameSpot, CookingWithGrenades and so on.

Below is a list of positions we are actively looking to fill. We hope everyone will take interest in our project and will provide any feedback as to how we can approach future recruitment postings.

All positions require a Windows PC or equivalent to run various builds of the game for internal testing purposes.

3D Environment Artist
- We are looking to bring on additional 3D Environment Artists to help create a modern take on TimeSplitters environments.
- This position requires that you be willing to take constructive feedback and adapt to our design direction.

First and Third Person Animation and Rigging
- As the newer builds of CryENGINE 3 have made significant changes to the way First Person and Third Person rigging and animations work, we are looking for someone who is experienced with these changes.
- This position requires that you be willing to take constructive feedback and adapt to our design direction.

Audio Specialists - FMOD
- We are looking to take on additional developers experienced with FMOD to help remaster the sound fx for TimeSplitters Rewind. This includes weapon sound FX, menu sound FX and so on.
- This position requires that you be willing to take constructive feedback and adapt to our design direction.

Programmers
- As the project is very ambitious we are looking for additional programmers to help speed up the development process for various areas such as networking, AI and gameplay mechanics.

Flash Developer
- As CryENGINE 3 uses Flash for various aspects such as HUD and Menu design we are looking for a developer capable of implementing these elements.

Please feel free to ask me questions here or send us an e-mail at jobs(@)tsrewind.com. You may also freely e-mail me directly at mhubicka(@)tsrewind.com with any questions that you may have.

If you are applying for a position please provide a portfolio. Please also keep in mind that as much we would love to, we are unable to compensate anyone for their work. We promise to promote your resume/CV/portfolio at our places of business in hopes to get you a position in the industry.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and enjoy your weekend!

All the best,
Michael Hubicka

A little showcase of current progress and development wouldn't hurt for recruitment :)

Drats! The one thing I meant to do but forgot. Ok! I shall update my posting with this information. :)

Edit: I've added two videos and a screenshot. Hopefully that does the trick! :)

Howdy. I think that you found ivestments and dev's.
Anyway, if you need additional help, i can reccomend these guys: http://vironit.com/outsource-game-development/
They have big experinence on game dev, and they worked with CryEngine. They made cool WW2 shooters on that engine.
If you need additional info, please, add me on Skype: e.dziatlau.vironit
