The designer truck scene is a complete asset that was modeled/uvd/textured inside of CRYENGINE using the Designer Tool. For this asset we have released it using the Github 5.4 Preview Build and kept the asset as a collection of Designer objects so you can edit and see exactly how it was constructed whether it be the geometry and subdivision or UV shells within the UV Mapping interface.
The demo level has been assembled in 5.4 by our very own Aleksander Budzynski, Senior User Experience Designer for CRYENGINE, and was developed entirely with Designer. The truck also holds a symbolic gesture to the Sandbox Team that helped create and maintain the toolset over the years. You will see the names of our Sandbox engineers across the various panels of the automobile to keep them living on forever.
Utilizing its features you can quickly white box realistic scenes or provide low-poly geometry for efficient white boxing in your games development. In this case it has taken it one step further to showcase the subdivision and the UVing features located directly within the tool itself.
