Discussing the future of CRYENGINE with Sandbox Engineer Samuel Kahn and playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance with Warhorse PR Manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling.

It’s been a busy streaming week: On Thursday we did not one but two streams on Twitch with two people doing awesome work with CRYENGINE. If you were watching, thanks! Missed it? Find out what went down and check out the videos below.

Discussing the future of CRYENGINE with Sandbox Engineer Samuel Kahn

“We are really focusing on improving our user experience and creating solid foundations for the Sandbox. Once we get these things established we can really be pushing the limits.” -Samuel Kahn

During the first stream of the evening, Community Manager Angela De Castro hosted a Q&A session with Crytek’s own Lead Sandbox Engineer Samuel Kahn about CRYENGINE V. They discussed the new UI, collaboration, modular tools, improvements to the asset pipeline, and future plans for engine development.

Don’t miss: At 37:53, you will find a short demo about creating terrain and vegetation in CRYENGINE V.

Playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance with Warhorse PR Manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling

“The problem was that creating something realistic is even harder than creating something fictional because you need to come up with solutions for everything.” –Tobias Stolz-Zwilling

In our second stream of the week, CRYENGINE Community Manager Angela De Castro and CRYENGINE Brand Manager Marcel Hatam played Kingdom Come: Deliverance with Warhorse Studios PR Manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling.

While playing the beta of Warhorse’s medieval first-person RPG, we fought off bandits, rode through the forests of Bohemia, conversed with the local peasants, and found out just how hard it is to create a historically accurate video game. A normal day in the office, then.

Don’t miss: Warhorse employs a full-time historian and painter to ensure that the details in KCD are as accurate as humanly possible. Find out how the two worked together to recreate historical architecture at 13:15.
