Master Class: Procedural Animation Technology

In our latest CRYENGINE Master Class, we’re sharing the fifth in a series of tutorials that we’ve previously only used internally. Today’s Master Class is all about procedural animation technology with a focus on VR.

The video is a presentation to our Crytek game development team previously only available internally. It covers the elements of animation technology seen in The Climb, which traces its roots back to the Back to Dinosaur Island VR demo. It’s a great watch for anyone interested in animating for VR, where traditional animating techniques don’t deliver to the standards required for an awesome, immersive experience. The techniques and approaches discussed in the tutorial have been used in our award-winning VR games, so if you want to make realistic animation to wow VR users, check out the video below.

Got feedback, questions, or comments? As always, we’d love to hear them on FacebookTwitter and the official forums. Like what you see? Check out how to contribute to CRYENGINE development, here!
