At CRYENGINE, we’re dedicated to helping developers achieve their vision, from bedroom hobbyists and first-timers to fully-fledged studios. This year, we’re proud to be a sponsor of Global Game Jam, the world’s largest game jam event, where people from all backgrounds, all experiences, from all around the world, come together to create a game based around a secret theme, in just 48 hours. Last year, game jams were held at 700 locations in 95 countries and 7000 games were created in just one weekend. Game jams produce exciting and unexpected games and are a great way to creatively collaborate, as well as meet new people. We’re delighted to play our part in supporting this fantastic event, taking place January 26-28. In addition to sponsoring Global Game Jam, we’re also supporting three events in our home country of Germany. At SAE Institute Bochum, SAE Institute Cologne, and at the Technology Centre Koblenz we’re directly sponsoring attendees with merch and providing food and drink to keep everyone fuelled up to create their game. The SAE Institutes in Bochum and Cologne are colleges that specialize in courses developed in conjunction with the creative media industries, while the Technology Centre Koblenz is an incubator for start-up technology businesses and has helped over 900 firms already.
