CRYENGINE Dynamic Physics Tutorial

Learn about core physics concepts in CRYENGINE and create a trampoline in our new tutorial.

In our new tutorial, Learning Manager Brian Dilg introduces core physics concepts in a comprehensive walkthrough showing you how to create a trampoline in CRYENGINE. In just over 25 minutes, the video will take you step-by-step through the process of creating a trampoline from scratch, showing you how to use springs, add a ball entity, test and fine-tune the trampoline’s behavior, adjust the mass of the components, and much more. The tutorial also shows you how to create, position, and control a camera, and looks at ways of exploring game mechanics by adding multiple trampolines and adding force to the ball. This practical guide will arm you with an understanding of physics concepts that can be applied across a range of different projects.

The tutorial is aimed at users who are already comfortable with using the sandbox. It is based on CRYENGINE 5.5.2, but you can also use a later version of CRYENGINE. If you are completely new to CRYENGINE, we recommend you download our beginner’s course or watch the tutorial on our YouTube channel.
