We are delighted to share ‘Neon Noir,’ a free ray tracing benchmark based on the ray tracing demo of the same name, which was made available as a video during GDC 2019.
Neon Noir was developed on a bespoke version of CRYENGINE 5.5, and the experimental ray tracing feature based on CRYENGINE’s Total Illumination used to create the demo is both API and hardware agnostic, enabling ray tracing to run on most mainstream, contemporary AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. The feature will ship in CRYENGINE in 2020, optimized to take advantage of performance enhancements delivered by the latest generation of graphics cards from all manufacturers and supported APIs like Vulkan and DX12.

If you happen to select the wrong resolution and forget to check fullscreen mode you simply can't use this. It gets stuck in extra-large mode on your screen so much that you can't even set the resolution back to normal.
As a side note, this came out well over a year ago and cryengine still doesn't even support RTX while engines like Unreal are far ahead now in graphical quality. There's no reason to use cryengine at this point.

An interesting benchmark to see an alternative approach for Raytracing there are quite a few bugs with the program though, namely settings are not remembered upon exiting and re-launching the program. It is also surprising that the program still has not been updated for DX12, Vulkan, or to leverage the dedicated hardware with RTX series cards. Without these updates the benchmark is fast becoming irrelevant.
